scope:
The purpose of this guideline is to provide information about the qualifications applicable to a Competent Person tasked with conducting inspections of dock levellers, walkramps, trailer ramps and mobile ramps within the meaning of the German Workplace Safety and Health Ordinance (BetrSichV).
The present guideline does not cover the qualifications of a Competent Person regarding the inspection of
- loading bridges and mobile ramps used with watercraft or aircraft, or
- lifting platforms (tail lifts).
