scope:

The guideline deals with automated long goods and flat goods storage systems. These are generally SPC or computer-controlled systems which fulfil the basic warehouse principle "Goods to Man". Due to the widely varying degrees of automation of such systems, systems working on the principle of "Man to Goods" are also considered (e.g. honeycomb storage as an order-picking system. See Section 1.3.5).
