General Information
Objective of this Guideline Administration departments for locations/plant Sup¬ port departments/site offices or however such Service departments are referred to at the location in question (hereinafter referred to as "OS" for operational Sup¬ port) are required to react quickly with the lowest possible outlay. Therefore, there is an ever increasing requirement for rationalization aids such as computeraided design (CAD) and facility management (FM). The administration of locations and operational installations has the following tasks to perform:
a) Adaptation to constantly changing usage requirements
b) Maintenance of operational and Service readiness of buildings and plants
c) Maintenance of operational and Service readiness of technical equipment
d) Maintenance of service readiness of production installations, etc.
The permanent requirement for cost transparency during occupancy planning and during removals means an ever increasing workload with constantly decreasing staff levels in this area of responsibility.
CAD and FM are such powerful tools that it cannot be left up to the individual users to find out how to use them themselves - wherever possible lessons should be leamed from the experiences of previous users.
