This Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of the phosphorus content in iron and steel. The method is applicable to phosphorus contents (mass fraction) of 0.000 3 % or over up to and including 0.010 %, but only for samples with a tungsten content (mass fraction) of less than 0.01 %.
