Standard Test Method for Effects of Temperature on Stability of Geotextiles
|Publication Date:||10 July 1996|
|ICS Code (Geotextiles):||59.080.70|
This test method provides a procedure for determining the effects of climatic temperature on the tensile strength and elongation properties of geotextiles.
The effect of temperature on the stability of geotextiles is reported as the change in tensile strength and elongation between tests performed as directed in Test Method D5035, in the standard atmosphere for testing textiles, and tests performed under conditions at which the geotextile is expected to perform in the field.
The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. See 7.1.1 - 7.1.3.
