Purpose of This Order.
This order establishes policy for the certification of flight inspection personnel in accordance with FAA Order 8200.1, United States Standard Flight Inspection Manual. It applies to Flight Inspection Services, Flight Inspection Operations Offices crewmembers or military crewmembers responsible for performing the duties of certifying air navigation services and/or instrument flight procedures. This order provides standards for examining employee competence and issuing appropriate credentials that authenticate certification authority.
