1. SCOPE
The purpose of this Ford-Manufacturing Standard is to define the meaning and application of a limited number of colours for the identification of pipes conveying fluids in liquid or gaseous condition. If desired, it may also be used to identify conduits carrying electrical services (see Ford-Manufacturing Standard U-EXOOl paragraph 10.4.1.5). Although similar to DIN 2403, BS 1710 and NF X08 100, there are fundamental differences and therefore the National Standards should not be used in their entiretv.
