This Clause supplements Clauses 1 to 10 and shall be used in conjunction with any applicable Code or Standard prescribing the design and construction of statically-loaded steel structures. For the purposes of this Standard, a load can be considered static if neither the rate at which the load is applied, nor the number of cycles of repetition of the load, is considered relevant.
Structures in which either the rate of application of the load or the number of cycles of repetition of the load is relevant shall be designed and constructed in accordance with Clause 12.
