This Specification describes the functional and performance requirements for Energy Meters as required by NGC for Settlement metering purposes and should be read in conjunction with NGTS 2.9.

This Specification covers the requirements for Active and Reactive energy meters separately, this approach does not preclude the supply of meters offering combined active and reactive energy measurement capability.

Figure 1 shows a typical metering arrangement and defines the scope of supply of equipment covered by this specification.
