Use/Relationship: The Acceptance and Description Sheet is a record showing the method of production and the results of inspection performed. In general, description sheets assist in the performance of such functions as determining the quality of propellants or explosives, comparing and evaluating the processes of various loading plans producing the same item, investigating the cause of trouble, and facilitating future surveillance and renovation.

The data contains the format and preparation instructions for the data product generated by the discrete task requirements specified in MIL-STD-1171, and associated Appendix.
