Diese Europäische Norm legt konstruktive und Funktionsanforderungen sowie Prüfverfahren für Spülkästen für WC-Becken und Urinale mit Spülmechanismus, Füllventil und Überlauf fest.

Dieses Dokument gilt für Spülkästen, die ständig an die Trinkwasser-Installationen in Gebäuden angeschlossen sind.

Diese Norm gilt nicht für Automatikspülkästen ohne Ablaufventil nach dem Saugheberprinzip zur Spülung von Urinalen.

ANMERKUNG Spülkästen für Einstück-WCs und WC-Kombinationen werden durch EN 997 abgedeckt.
