This standard applies to any individual who installs Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Replenishment Systems. Installers include anyone who works on or installs piping or components, including welders. SCBA Replenishment Systems and equipment covered in this standard include structures within the scope of the IAPMO UPC 2009, Uniform Plumbing Code, Appendix F, Firefighter Breathing Air Replenishment Systems
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to provide minimum performance criteria, identified by industry consensus, for SCBA Replenishment Systems Installers to assure compliance with the provisions of this standard and the referenced standards in Section 10-1.4.
8010 - SCBA Replenishment Systems Installers Installers include anyone who works on or installs piping or components, including welders.
8020 - SCBA Replenishment Systems Inspectors Applies to any individual who inspects the installation of SCBA Replenishment Systems.
8030 - SCBA Replenishment Systems Verifiers Applies to any individual who tests and verifies the operation of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Replenishment systems.
