The Rules for construction of refrigerating installations apply to all the machinery and hull equipment of the refrigerating installation serving the ship's cargo.
The safety requirements of these Rules also apply to refrigerating installations not subject to classification, provision refrigerating installations and air conditioning refrigerating installations; see also the Rules for Seagoing Ships, Chapter 2, Section 1, D.13.
