Material Description. This specification details the requirements of a primer intended to promote adhesion of urethane adhesives sealing compounds to Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) trim substrates. Each application must be validated prior to release.

Applicability. These primers are capable of being applied by brush, felt or sprayed, manually or with automation, and provide good wettability to the application substrates. Although not restricted to, these primers are typically used for bonding fixed automotive glass encapsulated with exterior grade PVC to painted metal vehicle openings. The primer is applied directly to the PVC substrate.
