Organization: JSA
Publication Date: 20 March 2015
Status: active
Page Count: 27
ICS Code (Magnetic materials): 29.030
scope:

This Standard defines the grades of thin non-oriented magnetic steel strip for use at medium frequencies in nominal thicknesses of 0.05 mm, 0.10 mm, 0.15 mm and 0.20 mm (hereafter referred to as "thin non-oriented magnetic steel strip"), and of thin oriented magnetic steel strip for use at medium frequencies in nominal thicknesses of 0.05 mm, 0.10 mm and 0.15 mm (hereafter referred to as "thin grain-oriented magnetic steel strip"). It gives general requirements, magnetic properties, geometric characteristics, tolerances, technological characteristics, as well as inspection procedures.

This Standard applies to thin non-oriented magnetic steel strip and thin grainoriented magnetic steel strip (hereafter simply referred to as "steel strip") supplied in the fully annealed condition in coils and intended for the construction of magnetic circuits used for frequencies of 100 Hz to 20 kHz.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

IEC 60404-8-8: 1991 Magnetic materials-Part 8: Specifications for individual materials-Section 8: Specification for thin magnetic steel strip for use at medium frequencies(MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21-1.
