This Standard mainly specifies the household water purifiers among water treatment implements (hereafter, referred to as "water purifiers") with the function to reduce the dissolved substances, turbidity, etc. in tap water by using a filter medium. The water purifiers using the reverse osmosis membrane (the reverse osmosis membrane module) as the filter medium and the water purifiers of faucet integrated type are excluded.
