scope:

This specification covers asphalt rakes suitable for use in road building, paving work, and various other tarring and graveling tasks, and road rakes suitable for spreading gravel, crushed stone, concrete, and other heavy materials.

- This specification covers only those types of rakes generally purchased by the Federal Government and is not intended to include all of the types that are commercially available.

- The hand rakes shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.1):
