scope:

PURPOSE

 In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02 (Reference (a)), this instruction: a. Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures regarding Reserve Components (RCs) of the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff representation at the NATO NRFC, a NATO Subcommittee of the Military Committee, and NATO schools in accordance with DoD Directive 5105.20 (Reference (b)).

b. Cancels Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs Memorandum (Reference (c)).

APPLICABILITY

This instruction applies to OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the CJCS and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the DoD.
