PURPOSE
a. Manual. This manual is composed of several volumes, each containing its own purpose. The purpose of the overall manual, in accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) 5143.01 , is to implement policy established in DoDD 5205.07 , assign responsibilities, and provide security procedures for DoD SAP information.
b. Volume. This volume:
(1) Assigns responsibilities and provides procedures for personnel security for DoD SAPs.
(2) Incorporates and cancels Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (USD(I)) Memorandum
