scope:
This standard deals with the installation, removal and operation of, and alterations to, ground water lowering systems where the water is discharged by way of open conduits or pipes.
This standard does not cover earthwork (cf. DIN 18300), drilling operations (cf. DIN 18301), the sinking of boreholes (cf. DIN 18302), or land drainage and infiltration management (cf. DIN 18308).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5, also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18305 shall take precedence.
