DIN 45684-2

Acoustics - Determination of aircraft noise exposure at airfields - Part 2: Determination of acoustic and flight operation parameters; Text in German and English

active, Most Current
Organization: DIN
Publication Date: 1 December 2015
Status: active
Page Count: 23
ICS Code (Construction of airports): 93.120
ICS Code (Noise emitted by means of transport): 17.140.30
scope:

This standard specifies a method for the record of sound in the vicinity of airfields based on the sound pressure level measured, in order to supply the basis for later assessment. For this purpose, the method described in this standard provides acoustic and flight operational parameters for the calculation of the exposure, in accordance with DIN 45684-1.

The method specified in this standard can be applied if the flight operation of an aircraft group is dominated by an individual type of aircraft and there are no measurement values available for this aircraft derived from the method for noise certification in accordance with the Noise Control Requirements on Aircraft (LSL) or ICAO Annex 16, Volume I. Flight operation of an aircraft group is dominated by an individual type of aircraft if the ratio of the aircraft of this type is at leat 80 % within the aircraft group.

The measurement method described for determining acoustic and flight operational parameters is only applicable to ultra-light aircraft (leisure aircraft), powered gliders and propeller aircraft with a maximum permitted take-off mass of up to 8 618 kg, as well as for helicopters (rotary wing aircraft) with a maximum permitted take-off mass of up to 10 000 kg.

The emission method described features a comparison standard deviation of σR ≤ 1 dB.
