scope:
This standard is applicable to the production of systems for the measurement, control, management and operation of services as part of building automation and control systems.
This standard does not cover equipment which functions independently (e.g. controls for coolers, burners or lifts).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18386 shall take precedence.
