scope:

PURPOSE

This John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC) standard (SSTD) specifies the materials and procedures for the construction of Refrigerant Tubing Systems at SSC.

APPLICABILITY This standard shall be used for specifying materials and components to be incorporated into the Refrigerant piping system as designated on the SSC Site-wide Operational and Repair Documentation (SORD) Drawing System. These piping system drawings are drawn in schematic form and are identified by system and specifications code number.

The pipe number designation consists of four sections:

a. The first section is the pipe size.

b. The second section designates the system code.

c. The third 4-digit section designates the particular type pipe line (locator sequence number designator).

d. The fourth section is the SSC SORD pipe specification code letter (refrigerant).
