scope:

This Standard specifies decorated boards ²⁾ installed on the foundation of sheathing roof board ¹⁾, manufactured by press-forming materials such as cement, silicate material, fibre material excluding asbestos and admixture, that are used mainly for dwelling roofs (hereafter referred to as "shingles").

Notes ¹⁾ Sheathing roof board refers to structural plywood specified in Japanese Agricultural Standard having a thickness of 9 m or more or any structural plywood with yield strength at least equivalent to this, which are capable of fixing shingles with nails, screws, etc

²⁾ Decorated boards refers to shingles of which the material is mixed with coloring material, and the base board of which is given a decorative layer by colouring, printing, coating, spraying, enameling or embossing
