Application 

The requirements of this chapter apply to control and monitoring of:

- propulsion

- directional control

- stabilisation systems

- auxiliary systems including remote control, to ensure safe operation of the craft from the control station(s) in the operating compartment (and/or other control stations) in all operating conditions, including manoeuvring, as well as along quay, and for unattended machinery spaces.

The requirements are additional to those given in SHIP Pt.4 Ch.9. 

For the application of these rules, wherever the term "Administration" is quoted, this shall be read as the Society.
