Purpose and Scope 

This Standard is intended as a guide to assist manufacturers of forage transporters (front and rear unloading pull type, chassis mounted, and truck mounted forage boxes and dump wagons), forage harvesters and forage blowers to make the operation of any one machine compatible with the others. The dimensions in this standard are also intended to be used as a guide for Manufactures of related equipment.

Dimensions specified in this Standard pertain to forage harvesting when the material is harvested in the following normal sequence: 

Harvested material is blown from a pull-type or self-propelled forage harvester into a forage transporter. 

The harvested material is then transported from the field to a storage area. The forage transporter is then positioned to be unloaded. Harvested material is then unloaded into a storage facility, forage blower or other related equipment
