This standard describes the data interfaces of shore and ships as well as step by step the procedures for low and high voltage shore connection systems communication for non emergency functions, where required. Text in italics in this document is for signals of the data packets. In the interface descriptions the address and data type are specified. Communication for emergency functions is described in IEC/ISO/IEEE 80005-1. Application of this standard relates to IEC/ISO/IEEE 80005-1 annexes. Cruise ships sector communication shall comply with requirements off annex A.
