scope:

The scope of this standard includes the procurement, upgrade, operation and maintenance of all OT assets which are owned, operated or supported by, or on behalf of, TfL

The target audience for this standard is Purchasers, Suppliers, Asset Owners and Maintainers of OT assets for TfL. These roles can overlap, for example the Supplier may also be the Maintainer, or the Purchaser may also be the Asset Owner

Purchasers are TfL staff, or third parties working for or on behalf of TfL, responsible for the procurement or upgrade of OT assets for TfL

Suppliers are entities, internal or external, contracted or appointed to build, configure or otherwise supply new or upgraded OT assets to TfL

Asset Owners are TfL staff, or third parties working for or on behalf of TfL, responsible for the operation of OT assets for TfL

Maintainers are TfL staff, or third parties working for or on behalf of TfL, responsible for the maintenance of OT assets for TfL

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to define requirements for the procurement lifecycle, including design, build, implementation, testing, and handover, of new Operational Technology (OT) assets or upgrades to existing OT assets, and the operation and maintenance of these assets within TfL
