This standard shall be used by those working on mainline and depot sections of the LU Railway which are signalled using conventional or communications based technology. It is applicable to safety and safety-related parts of the Signalling System and all Signalling Assets.

This standard shall be used during the third stage of the lifecycle, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Handover.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to define the Signalling and Signalling Control Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Handover Requirements which are mandatory to Signalling and Signalling Control Systems used anywhere on the London Underground (LU) throughout the whole life-cycle of the system.
