This guidance applies to anyone with responsibility for any aspect of Civil Engineering asset within LU and to anyone engaged in any process informed by Civil Engineering asset risk. The scope of the guidance is to enable users to understand:
a) STRATA responsibilities and accountabilities (section 3.2, section 4, Appendix A).
b) The structure and main elements of STRATA (section 3.3 and section 3.4).
c) How to operate STRATA and retain a suitable audit trail (section 3.5).
d) STRATA outputs and use as reports or as information feeds to other processes (section 3.6, Section 3.7).
e) Interfaces with other risk process and models in LU (section 3.8, section 3.9, section 3.10).
f) STRATA elements maintenance and update (section 3.11).
Purpose
This document provides guidance that can be used to identify, record, assess and report performance risk (referred to in subsequent sections of this document as service disruption) and safety risk presented by the Civil Engineering assets. It also describes the main elements of the framework and operation of the Civil Engineering risk management tool (STRATA), and describes how outputs can be used to report risk or communicate to other risk processes and tools in London Underground (LU).
