This standard applies to flat non-rewirable two-pole plugs without earthing contact with a rated voltage of 250 V a.c. and a rated current of 2,5 A, with a cord, for the connection of equipment of Class II, for household and similar purposes, these plugs having no special protection against ingress of water and being intended for indoor use. Plugs complying with this standard are suitable for use at ambient temperatures not normally exceeding 25 ° C, but occasionally reaching 35 °C.
