Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to all NAVAIR sites, NAVAIR Headquarters, Program Executive Offices, Business Units and tenant organizations. Any proposed changes, modifications or deviations to this instruction require NAVAIR Command Information Officer (CIO) review and concurrence. NAVAIR sites may adopt amplifying guidance as long as it 'does not deviate from this instruction.

Purpose.

The purpose of this instruction is to provide uniform guidance for the authorized use of Government voice, video and data systems and equipment throughout the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This instruction was revised in accordance with references (a) and (b). Reference (b), 5 C.F.R. 2635.101, 5 C. F.R. 2635.704, and 5 C. F.R. 2635.705, refers to government property and proper use of government property, as well as obligations of public service. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
