This Recommendation includes key new features for the MAC and Upper Layer Protocols Interface, and defines the MAC layer protocols as well as requirements for upper layer protocols (e.g., IP, DHCP, etc.).
Please see [ITU-T J.222.1] for the background and overview of the DOCSIS 3 family of Recommendations.
NOTE - The structure and content of this Recommendation have been organized for ease of use by those familiar with the original source material; as such, the usual style of ITU-T recommendations has not been applied.
