This specification covers the properties of 550 MPa (nominal) flexural modulus recycled polyolefin alloy, regrind form, injection molding compound. Painted or unpainted parts may be reground to prepare this material. The material may contain 3.5 weight percent max cured paint. For the purpose of this specification, polyolefin alloy is defined as an alloy of polypropylene plastic and EP or EPDM rubber.
PAINTABILITY. Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint On Plastic Systems (GM APOPS) data base.
APPLICATIONS. When appropriate, this material may be blended with virgin or recycled materials and/or fillers prior to molding. Typical usage includes fender liners and splash shields.
