This standard contains fundamentals, approaches, and methods for the implementation of lean principles in planning and construction processes. It is directly applicable from the different perspectives of the stakeholders (particularly building owners, planners, and contractors). The aim is to optimise processes by means of suitable lean construction approaches and achieve sustainable and successful result improvements in terms of quality, costs, and time. Furthermore, the standard describes the particular consideration of the "human factor" in implementing a lean organisation and the associated new leadership culture. The example templates made available in the Annexes as method sheets for the categories

a) analysis,

b) organisation and control, and

c) continual improvement are also directly applicable to projects and stakeholders.
