This specification relates to a two-pack pretreatment primer suitable for application to metal components. It is intended to improve adhesion of subsequently applied paint systems under conditions of total immersion in water.

It is not intended to be a replacement for an anticorrosive primer and under normal circumstances it will be overcoated with an anticorrosive primer and appropriate finishing paints.

The pretreatment primer is applied to prepared substrates by spraying and is suitable for air-drying or for force drying at a temperature not exceeding 125°C.
