This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the shower chairs among assistive products used when a person washes oneself or has a shower in the bathroom. However, those used in the bathtub and those having movable function by casters are excluded.
NOTE: Bathseats used in the bathtub are specified in JIS T 9259.
