Purpose.
To provide policy and guidance in order to develop, implement, and maintain an installation automated external defibrillation (AED) program on Navy installations as required by references (a) and (b). This instruction is being reissued with a new date, updated version and signature authority to meet Chief of Naval Operations' age requirement for Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) instructions.
