Purpose:
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5134.01 and the July 13, 2018 Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum, this issuance implements the policy established in DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6055.06, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for the DoD F&ESCP to meet the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) professional qualifications in NFPA Standard 1072 and the 1000 series standards.
