Purpose:
In accordance with DoD Directives (DoDDs) 5105.53 and 5105.82 and the guidance in the July 11, 2014 Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum and the February 1, 2018 Secretary of Defense Memorandum, this issuance:
• Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for administering the DoD Privacy and Civil Liberties Programs.
