scope:
This specification covers the general requirements for voltage and frequency monitors for Naval shipboard installation.
The monitors shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2.1):
Type VM1 - For sensing under voltage and over voltage limits on a single phase power system and providing direct current (dc) power to trip the connected remote feeder circuit breaker. Type VM3 - For sensing under voltage and over voltage limits on a 3 phase power system and providing dc power to trip the connected remote feeder circuit breaker. Type VFM3 - For sensing under voltage and over voltage and under frequency and over frequency limits on a 3 phase power system and providing dc power to trip the connected remote feeder circuit breaker.
