This standard covers the specifications of the zinc plating and zinc alloy plating (hereafter called plating) which are to be applied to the metal base of Isuzu Motors' automotive parts mainly for the purpose of corrosion protection.

The description of "tapping thread" in Table 3 has been moved from "H1" to "H2". Background: The description in "H1" has been in effect since the revision in October 2005, but this time, it was determined to be a clerical error because the description in "H2" was found to be appropriate based on the investigation report from the supplier.
