この規格は，自動車部品の金属及び樹脂の素地上に，主としてめっき処理，化成処理を施した部品（以下，めっき部品という。）の耐食性を調べるための標準試験方法について規 定する。

This standard covers the standard test methods to examine the corrosion resistance of the automobile parts made mainly by plating and chemically converting the surface of base metals or plastics (hereinafter referred to as "plated parts").
