Scope and Applicability.

This notice is applicable to Chief, BUMED; Commanding Officer, NAVEXPMEDSUPCOM; Commanding Officer, NAVMEDLOGCOM; and Commanding Officer, NAVOPHTHALSUPPACT.

Purpose.

To approve Chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) request to rename Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NAVEXPMEDSUPCOM) to Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NAVMEDREADLOGCOM), make it an echelon four activity, reduce Navy Medical Logistics Command (NAVMEDLOGCOM) to a detachment of NAVMEDREADLOGCOM, and disestablish Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity (NAVOPHTHALSUPPACT).
