scope:

This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of Network Control Processor equipment which acts as a train data processor as installed on the ex British Railways Southern Region area.

Purpose

This instruction defines the maintenance requirements for Network Control Processor systems in use on Network Rail infrastructure.

The purpose of maintaining and testing these systems is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential failures before they become service affecting.
