Scope and Applicability.
This instruction applies to Navy Service members assigned to sea duty based on enclosures (1) through (3) and as prescribed by competent orders.
Purpose.
To revise policy guidance for establishing entitlement to Career Sea Pay (CSP) and Career Sea Pay Premium (CSP-P) in fulfilling the requirements of reference (a), section 305a. Major changes include new additions to category A, the abolishment of category B staff designations and guidelines for special boats and expeditionary units in addition to landing craft units. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
