Purpose

This regulation establishes Army deployment and redeployment policies and delineates roles, responsibilities, command relationships, and authorities for deployment and redeployment planning, execution, and support. It applies to unit personnel and equipment movement in support of Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) known demand operations, overseas deployment training, training center rotations, command and control, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear response element, and short notice combatant commander (CCDR) operation plans (OPLAN) and contingencies.
