This standard applies to Infrastructure Investment, Track disciplines when working under the requirements contained within Rule Book Module OTP (On Track Plant, Section 11.5 b) and, where other machines are used where any part it ,or a load, could foul an adjacent open line.

Purpose

This standard sets out the process for using Automatic Track Warning System (ATWS) to protect an adjacent open line when working with OTP/Machines in the circumstances defined below. The requirements for the application of ATWS are set out in the operating procedures approved as part of Network Rail's Acceptance procedures.
