This Standard establishes symbols uniquely for use on operator controls and other displays on manual portable forestry machinery.
Symbols included in this Standard are for controls and displays specific to manual portable forestry machinery such as chain-saws and brush-saws.

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
