General
This cable is intended to be employed for interconnection of D.C. rectification and control switching equipment within substations.
This cable shall be suitable for installation in indoor areas and will be supported on cable brackets spaced approximately 600 mm apart. During its life the cable sheath may encounter environmental temperatures ranging from -10°C to +45°C.
The cable design must ensure that adequate electrical and mechanical characteristics shall be maintained throughout the required 40 year working life of the cable.
